Tartan Clef 2008 Sells Out In Record Time

This year’s Tartan Clef Awards have sold out in record time! Thanks to all of those who have bought a table, we have a fantastic night planned for you all with more than a few tricks up our collective sleeve.

Award recipients are still a closely guarded secret but you may have heard that the legendary Orange Juice will been reunited for the first time in 26 years to receive the lifetime achievement award presented by Glasgow Scotland With Style. The guys will be traveling from all over the world to be with us, it really is a great honour.

We are proud to welcome Scotland's largest music venue, the SECC on board as headline sponsor and VisitScotland also make their Tartan Clef debut this year, sponsoring the first ever People’s Choice Best Live Act award. You’ll find out who the lucky winner is on 22nd November.

Guitar Guitar, The Sir Reo Stakis Foundation, 96.3 Rock Radio, Ticketmaster and the Sunday Mail all return as award sponsors.

Sadly, this will be the wonderful Jay Crawford’s final year hosting the awards. Jay has been a huge supporter of Nordoff-Robbins and the Tartan Clefs from the very beginning and we can’t thank him enough for time and dedication he has given us. We’re going to miss him!

Jay said, The awards are all about raising funds and awareness for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland. The work done by the charity is truly admirable and to see so many of our industry come together to support such a worthwhile cause is fantastic.

Having been involved since the inaugural event, I'm really looking forward to hosting the Tartan Clefs for a final time and can't wait to announce the very deserving recipients over the coming weeks.

So, dig out your party frock and dust down your kilt, the Tartan Clefs are right round the corner!
